St John, dressed in blue and purple, stands on a platform and under a canopy. He looks up towards the crucified Christ in the adjoining light and points to the Gospel book in his draped right hand. Large white multi-petalled flowers are displayed in the background behind him. The figure is very well preserved, and retains its original head.
