This panel is one of eleven designed and made by J.W. Knowles under the direction of Rev. J.T. Fowler in 1886-8. It shows Cuthbert, as prior of Lindisfarne, convincing people to give up idolatry. On the left, many people are giving up their idols. Behind St Cuthbert, a man burns a pagan scroll.
