This panel shows St Cuthbert banishing demons from Farne island, so that he can build a hermitage there and live a life of solitary prayer. The wilderness of Farne is represented by green ground, with wavy-edged outcrops and stylised trees and bushes that are characteristic of fifteenth-century landscapes in stained glass.
