The design is similar to panel 1c. The surcoat with the arms of Ros with no mark of difference denotes the head of the family. This should be William, 6th Lord Ros (d. 1414). However, the lady is not his wife, Margaret, née Arundel, but his daughter-in-law, Margery, as she bears the same arms as the lady in panel 1c. The explanation may be that William, 6th Lord Ros, died as the window was being made, and that his son, John, on becoming head of the family as 7th Lord Ros, changed the panel to show himself and his wife a second time. Alternatively, it may be a mistake by the glaziers.
