Panels 21c and 21d depict an incident similar to the miracle of Ouse Bridge in panel 9c. After the translation of the relics in 1284, the portable reliquary would be processed around the city on special occasions. As it is being carried across Ouse Bridge by Minster clergy, a man (seen from behind) kneels in devotion, while a woman falls into the river and is hit by a stone, to the consternation of an onlooker.
