The first of a pair of scenes (panels 22a-22b). A man sits with his legs in some stocks and his ankles manacled together. He leans forward to try to release himself. The prison room looks surprisingly well appointed, with a floor of decorated tiles, a proper bed, and with clothes, provisions and a tub of water nearby.
